Hey guys im having problems with the lights that light up my a/c controls. They have never worked since I've had the truck and I've had it for 3 years. I figured it was just the bulbs but I cranked my truck this morning and they all lit up? I know the wires and connectors are fine because I checked them out when I had to take my whole dash out to replace my heater core. What do y'all think?

 

mine would light up sometimes, I changed the bulbs and now it works perfectly. I would start by changing the bulbs

 

Alright that's what ill do. Ill post back when I get them changed out

 

It's the bulbs. I had one go out in mine, the I would bang on it and it would sometimes come back on. So I replaced it ( took me less than 3 mins) and now it works fine.

 

what size bulbs do they take and where can you get them at?

If you go to your local parts store, they can look it up. If I remember tomorrow, I'll let you know.

 

take the bulbs out and read whats wrote on them, it'll be faint but its there. and you can get them at any autoparts store

 

How do you get the dash off?

 

If you are talking about getting to the AC bulbs, then all you have to do is pull off the part of the dash that goes around the radio/AC controls. Then you will see i think 6 bolts, and the AC controls will slide out.
