Default Build a Ford Version of this

http://www.arctictrucks.com/lisalib/...d=8425&proc=28

I have a 2002 F150 SCREW FX4 and would love to build a less serious version of the above Toyota Hilux Article Truck.

By less serious I mean its more about the look (flares, lift, tires, wheels, suspension) and less about actually being able travel the arctic.

1) Anybody have pics of a project like this?
2) Where would I find the fender flares, wheels and tires specifically?
3) Any issues I should anticipate?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Wheels and tires?? EBay, amazon, royal tire.. Etc. Not hard.

Issues? Too many to list. You'll have to figue that out on your own depending on what you actually do.

Sorry for being spectical but most of the guys wanting to do something outrageous end up with a small lift and aftermarket rims and tires, just like everyone else. Nothing special.

That is a offroad dirt truck not a OFF THE GRID TRUCK like the Arctic builders.

Red that truck is a beast. Thanks for the videos.

I guess I should have been more specific. The tires featured Hilux don't appear to have any markings or name on them and don't appear to be your typical bigger or super swamper. So I was looking to see if anybody recognized them.

Secondly, I have never seen flares that wide. Did anybody recognize the brand or are they custom made.

Thanks in advance.

I agree. That's just like a 6" lift with cut metal so the tires won't rub.Best option would be to put airbags on so you can choose 6-12" of lift. You'll get that look when the bags are deflated, but get the ride chararistics of having 12" of lift

It's all custom built by Arctic Trucks (http://www.arctictrucks.com/?PageID=1281).
Top Gear had an Arctic special using one of their Hiluxes.

For their Nissan Patrol AT44, they use Dick Cepek 44x18,5/15 MRT tires with 15x16" steel wheels w/ beadlock.

Kentucky is quite the distance from the North Pole though. Haha.

Thanks, I shall make a run through my Netflix to find that episode of Top Gear.

Dick Cepek tires. That makes sense.' I thought I had seen the tread pattern before but couldn't remember where. That's huge cause if I do decide on a scaled down version but want to retain the look I can.
