Default Brake issue! Help

I have A 98 f150 xl 2wd with rear drums front discs, my front passenger side brake seems to be locking down when I come to a stop. It locked up completely once before but now it like catches as releases, how can I fix this?

Mine did the same thing and I had to replace the rubber line going into the caliper I was told that someone pulled off the caliper and just let it hang so it stretched out the line making it more narrow so fluid didn't flow through it to well Idk how true that is but it fixed my problem

Replace your caliper AND your soft pressure line. Preferable do both sides at the same time.

I agree I would also change out the brakes and the caliper and brakes on the other side. Flush the brake lines out when you put it all back together and you have eliminate brakes from being a maintenance item for he remainder of the time you will own your truck.

As it doesn't cost anything to look, these are something you might want to look at for your truck. They not only work really well but they look real nice on my 98 F150 with aluminum wheels. I might add that I also used prestone DOT4 brake fluid that contains rust inhibitors. Unlike the old DOT 3 brake fluid, this does not absorb water and cause rusting of your brake lines and components. Over the years I have seen a lot of improvement in automotive technology like the DOT 4 that makes life a lot easier and less expensive for guys like us who like to maintain their vehicles.

Here is a link to the DOT 4 brake fluid

Well I found the problem it is the caliper bracket bolt, It must have flew off somewhere, I bought a replacement at autozone that was suppose to work but it was too small any ideas?

I just installed stainless brake lines on the front of my truck and can feel an improvement in brake feel. $55-60 at 4wheelparts. Just a thought if your looking for improvement over stock.
