That 03 KR I bought this past fall had this very problem. The followers on 2 cylinders had come off. I replaced the parts and 2 adjusters, and it's still running strong. I sold it to a relative and she's put over 6k on it since then and it is fine.

Okay so I did a compression check. Cylinder 1,5 and 6 all three had 180 pounds. I checked them all 3 times. Cylinder 2 started with 80, went up to 95, and ended with 105. I checked that one four times and it stayed at 105.

squirt oil in the low cylinder.
If compression comes up...its rings
If compression dont come up...its valve

Either way its not good news unless its just a lash adjuster

I did put oil in the cylinder, no cigar. I'm going to try follower and lash adjuster this weekend.

I think I would rip that right cover off and see exactly what might be the problem with #2. I was wondering what made you decide it was a valve from the opening post? Did you over-rev the motor or what. To bend a valve the timing would have to be off the cylinder or the chain loose enough to throw a big enough angle degree to touch a piston, OR carbon build up in the cylinder and the valve hitting hard carbon buildup on the piston top.

I'm just having a hard time figuring what you came up with a valve right off.

Not really that common, but a busted valve spring will cause some not-so-nice things to happen too. But yeah... pull the cover and have a peek. I, personally, wouldn't be driving it until you know for sure.

I guess I jumped to the conclusion that it was a bad valve. I'm not 100% sure why I jumped to that

Ran a leak down test, around 90% leakage... coming out of the exhaust. I have a feeling it's not a follower or a lash adjuster

Sounds like a burnt valve, or even a bent valve. Could be a follower or even a spring. Pull the cover first.
