V8 4.6 could the knock sensor being gone cause it to sound like it's a straight header. Also the knock sensor is tight above the header next to the fire wall correct no

Since you ain't explaining well, how about some pictures?

4.6 has the knock sensor under the intake manifold bolted to the top of the engine block (at least on all I've seen).
Right, guess he taking about the hold down bolt? Since the sensor doesn't insert into the block lol.

Nah, it's in the block valley w/the 2V's modulars (gen 10). I might have a pic of my old trucks....

Yea, right in the middle there, -

EDIT: I think I know what's confusing you. Gen 10 modular head castings can be flipped from side to side. With this in mind, you'll have empty threaded holes on one side. Looks like it's missing something ..it's not. No worries, it's just a modular thing.

yes u were right buddy. Thanks only problem now is getting the exhaust bolts out. Last 1 on top broke off even with exhaust. So it should be the easiest. The other 3 on top are just corroded so bad we cleaned them up. Everyone is showing a different size and metal is so soft u can fill it just mash when trying to break it loose. Got a better torch coming this morning and a couple of those crazy sockets . Anyone ever Hurd if using the crayons to break old bolts loose. If u have and uts worked please message me back . Thanks
