So grandpa's truck was rotting in the yard a few years back and i brought it back to life since then ive dumped thousands of dollars into it. soo now i get to do the fun stuff
its got a stage 2 jasper rebuild and a new transmission as well as a few other things now i want to clean it up some I've been more focused on internals so far (aint cool if it doesn't run) so it just looks like crap and sounds like crap ill post a picture at the end. But now ive got all the kinks worked out and its a very good running truck. i want to put a new exaust system on it its pretty much rotted out the original up to the cats. My question is am i gonna get any significate hp gains from doing the whole system aka headers cats muffler and all or should i just do a little cat back exhaust kit? im not tryna put it on a track or anything but i would like to be able to keep up with my crysler 300 5.7 or at least stay close. after exhaust i plan on doing a full fuel system overhaul as well as a cam eventually just dont wanna mess up my warranty just yet.
The heads on those outflowed LS1 heads back then, if memory serves correct.
Tritons? Not so much. They needed a blower for ~350 horsies.
Just do a catback and have fun.
yeahhhh your right ill probably just do wheels tires exaust and paint and call it good. i reckon i can build the hemi ill have more fun with that anyway it was supposed to be the daily though lmao.
