Default Audio/sub box question

I have some questions for all y'all that know more about audio. I wanna but a sub and amp under my rear seat so I can still haul people around. H fortunately I have an odd configuration where the seat flips forward to create a load floor. I have 6" under the seat without any modification. So is this enough depth to fit a good sub underneath as is? I have pictures for reference if that helps. Any input is appreciated

Lots of good subs have mounting depths of less that 5-6 inches. I think the configuration of your back set is the same height and dimensions as the ones that fold up, minus the mounting brackets. What size subs are you looking at? A set of Alpine Type R 8's would handle 700 watts and be an easy fit.

They make plenty of shallow subs/boxes made specifically for that application. Or you can always make your own box...

You probably wouldn't even need a shallow 8". Full size subs typically have better performance and life.

I had a set of kicked comp 8's. Regular mounting depth that's only like 4-1/4 inches. In my sealed box they sounded great.
