Well at least our service manuals agree. LOL. I was looking at an Expy with power pedals, and it had another lead coming from around the ebrake if I'm not mistaken. I actually think it is attached to the ebrake warning light harness.
I guess you could use it for power. It would be 12V, and would be on when the key is in the KOEO position. The power pedals wouldn't need power when the truck was off, so it should work.

I did not list, don't know if it makes a difference but it's 97 scab 5.4 4wd auto lariat. I went out and looked at the 99 expy and the connector for the power pedal is a different type connector much heavier gauge wire

Is that on the left side of the dash, where this plug is in the middle?

yes, left side of column. was hanging near column. I have it attached to a metal bracket bottom of dash. I did see a white plastic bracket going across column under dash that had a big black connector next to gem module connected to it. There was a small hole and bigger hole open next to it where the plug might mount.

Thank you. Thats what I remember now. It isn't something you go into every day. The e/brake wire runs from that wire group over to the e/brake on/off warning pedal switch.

I did call my Ford buddy, and he verified that it was the RABS connector plug. He's the brake man at the local Ford dealer. I told him about what one guy said about someone using it to power the pedals. I thought he was going to have massive a heart attack on the phone. He was telling me that he ran across that one time, and it killed the ABS system, and almost caused an accident. I think i'd stay away from that plug for anything other than it's intended use, ABS reading. calibration settings.
Good thing about this conversation, it wasn't a problem, just a question of what it was. LOL

Thanks! Think I'm going to tuck it back up. I thought I had another connector on passenger side of column near bottom of dash that I didn't know where went. I'll have to look again to remember.
