Default any ideas

Found this hanging under dash, left side of column. Don't see anything to plug into. Anybody have any ideas. Appears to have a green wire with black stripe and red wire.

Could be for an option your truck doesn't have.

trailer brake is connected already, Long story short I got truck from stepdaughter after her boyfriend decided he needed to take it and she wouldn't give him keys. He thought he was going to hot wire it destroyed steering wheel, column. and assorted wires. Everything seems to work. I had tucked up and forgot about it. Was trying to trace wires on keyless entry module and saw it again.

We might all be wrong. According to my service manual, it is called a DSS Data Link Connector (C268) to the RABS module. It is a 2 wire connector. This makes sense, since it runs to the center of the dash in the pictures.

Yes it is listed as a data link in the service manual I have also. But I read a couple howto install adjustable pedals and they used that plug.
