Default Power Widow Relay

Where is the relay for a 1998 Ford F150 located? Driver's side window will not go down and the passenger side works fine. Only a clicking noise when the switch is engaged.

If you are getting a click, then you are getting power to the switch. Either your window motor or switch is bad. Switches are known to fail over time, as well as motors. That's where I'd look. You can check the power by removing the panel and popping off the connector and checking it with a probe or meter. Good luck.

It's gotta be motor. I'm thinking a click would indicate the switch and relay are good.

Whitey.....I agree on the motor, but these particular switches, have a tendency to short across, somehow, and click and not operate the windows.

I know you remember the thread last year, which was fairly similar, and his was the switch clicking. Everyone thought it was the power motor. It was the damn switch arcing. I would say the OP needs to listen to where the click is coming from, the panel, or lower by the motor/track.

I thought there would be women weightlifters whose husbands had died, in some sort of competition. Disappointed.
