Default Amplifier placement

Hi there, I am in the process of planning my next stereo upgrade by installing an amp and new speakers. I plan to get a 5 channel amp so that when I eventually get a sub (or subs) I won't need to change anything. My question is, every amp I have read about requires good ventilation, which worries me as out here in KS the cab temperature gets pretty ridiculous in the summer. I have a 99 extended cab, and as I want to keep my options open for subs, the only obvious place to install a sub I guess is under the drivers seat as the passenger seat hides the jack etc. Is that really my only option, or is it maybe possible to bring the rear seats slightly forward, or could I even put one inside the center console? I wonder if the center console can be slightly lifted to allow air in and around the bottom to supply ventilation? I may be over-thinking this...
The amps I am stuck between are the JL XD700/5 and Kicker 11ZX700.5, which are both quite large I think...

Out here in very got Texas I have my amp under the drivers seat with my 2 10" subs under the rear bench. Been running this setup for six years without an issue.

Yeah, they seem to have a few different enclosures, but I'm not sure which i prefer... The MTX looks pretty good, and it obviously takes two subs which is nice, but i believe it does make it impossible to fold out the rear seats...

Under the rear bench is probably the best deal. At least the cabin gets vented by air. What do car owners do? Their's gets mounted in the trunk behind the back seat, and it's always hot in there. Amps have decent heat sinks for the power transistors, so a cabin install under the back seat shouldn't be an issue.
