Hi y’all I just did a general F150 search for a question on my new truck I just purchased it’s a 2001 F150 beautiful truck little to no rust almost mint as far as I am concerned. I bought the truck from a pretty wealthy gentleman for 900.00 dollars. KBB said this truck in good condition was 5,500 dollars and in fair condition it was 4,700 dollars. I needed an answer on how to turn on the fog lamps. I read a thread that said pull the switch out, I did and it worked. So thank you all the forum for already helped. I will continue using this sight for future questions. Thank you
Nice deal for $900. Fairly nice option list for an XLT. Smoked slider, captains seats, 4x4 off road pkg, 17s....not a bad pkg. Enjoy it.
I would definitely get busy on those rocker panels before you have a lot more metal to replace, You know the saying.....once it (rust) starts, it doesn't stop.

I guess the definition of "little to no rust" varies on location.
For around here, that is a lot of rust.
But $900 for a running vehicle that does seem to be in decent condition (as long as it runs well and has working A/C) really is a good deal.
As said, you need to address it before it eats the rest of the truck, and if the doors look like that, take a really good look at the rockers and rest of the truck.

Joeski1979, if you got that truck for $900 there is no doubt you got a heck of a deal. Usually that kind of dough gets you something either ready for the scrap heap or missing an engine or tranny. Not that it matters, but how miles are on it?
