Default Airbag Code 27

I started my truck this afternoon and it gave me airbag code 27. Any thoughts?

Have you had the battery unhooked recently? Sometimes that can set weird codes off.... but that code is for the deactivation module, which it the switch with the key right under the radio. The most common issue with the module is if the bulb burns out. I would pull it out and replace the bulb if it's burned out. Should clear up for you.

Going on a quick search, I would guess the little light next to the passenger side disable key slot isn't working

Apparently it self checks everything on start up and if the bulb has gone then it fails test and pops the code

I believe you have to take apart the switch and solder it in. You could also buy a new switch but it will cost you a whole lot more.

Yes, you need to solder it. Here's one on Amazon. You pretty much just need a T1 shaped bulb, 12 Volt, .05-.07 amp that you can solder in.

And if I don't have the capability to solder, am I stuck buying a new airbag switch?
