If I buy a new switch, do I need to have it re-keyed??

That, I don't know for sure. I'd go test it on my Expedition, but it does not have the switch.

Tell you what.... it seems that maybe you are a little scared of soldering this bulb in. If you want to send it all to me, I'll solder it in for you.

Yea, I have no soldering ability whatsoever...lol. Do you have the bulb as well?

Send it to me first and I'll use my desoldering iron to remove the old one and clean it up. We'll get a part-fixing solder circle jerk going on here

So it does not appear to be the light bulb but a loose connection. I pulled the trim off and moved the wires and the light came back on. Hmmm

So, now that I need a switch (the bulb has had it for real this time), I asked this question to Tasca and their response was, "i do not think that is a keyed item i think it will accept any truck key as it does not have a tumbler system in it."
