Adding circuit & fuse
I have a manual-everything 97 regular cab. There are 3 fuse boxes, one in the cabin and 2 in the engine compartment. Owner's manual lists several fuse slots as "NOT USED" for all 3 fuse boxes. Are any of these factory wired? Thank you.

Thank you for the reply. I opened all 3 fuse boxes. Not-Used fuse slots don't have metal sockets. They are not wired.
Also, One Touch Down Relay (power window) and Accessory Delay Relay (also power window) are missing from the cabin fuse box in my base 97. And the relay slots have no metal sockets. They are not wired.
I bought a couple of fuse boxes to add circuits. I plan to keep one in the engine bay (for electrical fans, headlamps, etc) and the other in the cabin (for power window, power seat, amplifier, etc).

Paker....on the PDB under the hood, you should have a couple open slots that only has wiring on one side of the fuse. One should be without power with the key off and the other hot continuously. I don't remember which are which.
What you can do is decided if you want it constant hot or key on only, then put another terminal on the empty side and run it to whatever you want to power. I think Badazz just did this. We discussed it and I'm sure that is what he used for his power source. It's easy to do. Just remember to disconnect the battery before flipping up the box and adding the wire. It's so easy to short something in there, that's why I always drop the cable first.
