I now see what you originally recommended. Instead of repopulating an empty maxi fuse slot with OEM parts, I can use a pig tail with a female blade terminal. Mate a female terminal directly to the bus bar, and feed the wire through an opening like the sketch. It will work. Thank you, AK.

EDIT: Bus bar blade is the same width as maxi fuse, 8 mm, larger than the standard 1/4" blade.

Brewster.... as I recall, the cover fit. But that's been over 2 years.... it was the first thing I fixed when it was given to me. Never could figure out what the hell happened with the factory amp circuit.... so I bought a new deck and a bypass harness for the amp.

Whoever owned it before me was an electrical genius, I tell you. The fuse for the factory radio circuit was popped. So they did the add-a-fuse thing into an alternate circuit and tapped it into the factory stereo harness. I replaced the blown radio fuse and put the circuit back to factory, and it's been like that since. Not sure why the guy couldn't just replace the fuse and be done with it.
