I too have (for the last month or so), have had problems with the engine (4.6) wanting to die or running really bad. It comes and goes, throws a CEL and has no codes? Would it most likely be for the same reason (COP)?

Usually rough idle on these trucks is either caused by a bad IAC or vac leak

idle air control valve- very common problem on these ford engines
