Default ABS Light

97 4.6L XLT. Here’s the issue. Every time my wife sits in the passenger seat of my truck the ABS light comes on. When she doesn’t sit in my truck or when other people sit in my truck the light never comes on. As a result, I don’t let her sit in my truck anymore and she is hurt and talking divorce. Have any of you run into this? I am gonna kind of miss her if I don’t figure something out.

Whatever the problem is I think it's safe to say the wife is an innocent bystander and the real problem has to do with one of the remaining variables.

Yeah notice how the OP is always driving the truck when the wife gets in and the abs light turns on? Maybe he's the problem... Seems like if I was the wife I'd leave the OP and marry someone with a safer truck

Occam's Razor says the simplest solution is always best. First eliminate the impossible or improbable, the truck isn't reacting to the wife with the ABS light. Same goes with the truck isn't reacting to Hammer because the wife is in the truck. Hammer raising the concern suggests he's not the cause of the light coming on. Occam's Razor leaves the wife as the cause of the light coming on. What's the likelihood the wife has put a remote on the light? What's the likelihood the wife knows Hammer the best along with how and what buttons of his to push? What's the likelihood the wife doesn't want to be in the truck to begin with? The wife doesn't want to be with Hammer. The wife knows how to manipulate the situation and make throwing her out of the truck his idea; hence his idea, his fault, making him responsible. All this lets the wife spend the time she wants with the new neighbor and when the time comes, blame Hammer for the impending divorce. In divorce court Hammer gets to state his case that the ABS light made him do it leaving everybody in court looking at him and wondering, "what is wrong with you?" The judge considers all of this, awards her the house and everything else except the truck with an ABS light that works fine. . . .for now. Occam's Razor and the simplest solution.

LOL. Now you got me thinking. Maybe I will just remove the ABS dash bulb and tell her it’s fixed. Thanks for the heads up.
