Default 97 Odometer HELP

So driving my new truck (well new to me) for a couple of months the odometer just stopped counting. Its an older mechanical one, not the newer electric one and I don't have any idea what to do. Any help?

Yes, you could be correct, but the analog and trip still could be a cluster problem.

Other than that, could be the Odometer worm gear.

No problem. Yea that worm gear can be a 97-98 problem.

It is gears on the 97-98's and up to 2002 on the SuperDuty's. It is common enough that there is a kit out there to repair it. Here is a sample.
