How did the joints go, well, once you got the wrong one back out. Have no idea how removing the one that didn't fit right would go....could of been worse than removing the old ones lol. You notice a difference though ? My old 98 has it's original zerk less joints at 350,000 miles, but they don't test bad yet. I know, hard to believe...Ford did something right there. Did you use the vise method ? I've added a press to the arsenal, haven't had a chance to use it yet...but itching to.

Hopefully the joints were it.

BTW- User WhiteGT mentioned a similar problem in another thread. It ended up being one of the motor mounts was bad. Here's his post, -

"Could not figure it out.... then one day I was under there removing a converter shield and noticed I had a bolt missing on the drivers side motor mount."

Worth a look.
