I heard that going from a stock 4x2 to a stock 4x4 is not possible cause the frames are different. Is that true? I heard if you have a 4x2 and want a 4x4 it is easiest to do a sas. If you want to use the stock 4x4 parts i heard it is cheaper to sell the 4x2 and buy a 4x4.

Yes the Frames are different but with a 4x2 you can do the soild axle setup which i would rather that over this torsion bar bullsh*t

if you really want to have the torsion bars and front setup of a stock 4x4 go to a junk yard and take the frame and tanspant everything but if you a good welder and your assure or your self cut the frame in the middle and take it and weld it back in and but 1/2" plate on each side to add some strength but i would sy soild axle is a lot easier and if you want soild you'll need raduis arm brackets welded at the right spot and get a dana 44 high pinion front axle and 4r70w trans and tranfercase and new driveshafts and i would recommoned manual shift 4x4. and for cletusjermal if you really wanted solid axle i would say weld in front leaf spring brackets and get a soild leaf axle 80's 250's and put it in and set up your steering. hope this helps you both
