A guy on here put an eaton blower on his 4.2 and it's a beast. He had to fab up a custom intake manifold to run it, but I think it's in the 300hp range, cant remember, but it fit under the hood fine.

Yep. I was wrong on numbers, it's around 250ish. But that's still decent power from a V6, most blown V6 stang guys barely get 300.

Just goes to show that you can bring out the potental in any motor, even a V6 in a truck.

I think 4.2 should make a few of those plates, and make some nice $ for his troubles! The metalwork was great, and is probably bulletproof! If only the stock intake manifolds were so constructed. Most folks perform mods to make their trucks better than stock. Others, well.... Back to the original topic - those glasspacks remind me of that one-off Dodge "Lil Red Express" - that had those mufflers vertical behind the cab. Well, that truck is a collectors item, because it did not sell well, and was produced for only one year as such.

I'd definitely be interested. I'd love a supercharged 4.2 for my own...

Hey guys I never really paid attention to this thread until it started blowing up two days ago. Here's what I did to the truck:
CAI
Computer Tune
Side exit exhaust with glasspacks
3.55 rear gears
Traction bars

I had bought some other parts like headers and 3.73s, but my mom needed a vehicle to get back and forth to work. Long story short, I traded my friend all his stock stuff for my cool parts and a bit of cash. I now am driving a 73 F250 and that is much closer to where I had set my power goals to. Although I miss the little 4.6 and the gas mileage over my 390

What kind of a tune did you end up getting for it I've thought about getting a tweecer but never have heard to many good results. Also now would be a good time for some stacks on that 250.
