In many states yeah. I don't think its a huge deal as long as they're not blacked out. I've had them tinted on all 4 of the vehicles I've ever owned and never had anything said to me about them here in Indiana.

Im in georgia and my buddy just got rearended and the wreck is being blamed on him because his tailights were tinted. They were not even that dark.

Yeah I have 3 light light coats on mine and are still bright as all get out during the day. But of course its your buddys fault for the dude behind him not paying attention!

Ya I agree if your smart enough to drive you should be smart enough to see a vehicle stopping without the need for lights

if you tint them just drive with your parking lights on and then you cant get in trouble. Im about to tint mine prob just 2 coats. Gonna get some led bulbs to go in my tails and 3rd brake light. Im in georgia too!
