13.8 mpg, time for a tune up.
#12
well, after 13.8 on my last tank, I think its time fr a tune up...
I am thinking about cleaning the MAF sensor, new plugs wires, and coils, and???
I am basically just looking for sugestions, and any parts you reccomend
and my truck is not coil on plug.
Finally, can someone give me a part number for the evap thing that is up on the throttle body?
truck is a 1998 4.6 with about 96k on it.

especially considering all the bad gas that we are getting right now.
though my truck is getting alot better, when i got it i was getting about 15, now that it has just about 4K miles on it im getting around 18.

When was the last time the 02 sensor was changed? They say they should be replaced every 60 - 70K miles? That may help restore a lot of what you've lost. Are you driving any different? My 02 did a little better, probably where you once were and I would get around 19 on the hwy. Most of mine was hwy though.
13.8 isn't that bad IF your not mixing it with any hwy. I'm mostly only city with my 05 (5.4) and it gets low 13's very low sometimes 12

it was about half and half on the last tank, thats why I thought about a tune up in the first place.
where is the spot where you run the seafoam through? Isnt it the brake booster line or something?

i wonder if the 3.55 rear end would make much for a better gas mileage? cuz im about half and half on driving and still get about 17-18 and do drive aggressive at times.
