Default 13.8 mpg, time for a tune up.

well, after 13.8 on my last tank, I think its time fr a tune up...

I am thinking about cleaning the MAF sensor, new plugs wires, and coils, and???

I am basically just looking for sugestions, and any parts you reccomend

and my truck is not coil on plug.

Finally, can someone give me a part number for the evap thing that is up on the throttle body?

truck is a 1998 4.6 with about 96k on it.

Clean the throttle body, run some seafoam in the tank. Take a pic of the Evap thing you are talking about....Change all the fluids you can.

Ok what EVAP part are you talking about. I know you said on the throttle body. I looked on alldata.com and all I found was HVAC parts. Which is for A/C. So if you could be alittle more specific. I could help you out. And get you a part number. I guess thats the perks of working for Leif Johnson Ford. Lol.. I'll keep my eye on this post to help you.

sounds good, I will try to get a picture tonight.

The only reason why I say that it is a evep selinoid is beacuse that is what my friend told me.

it is on the right side of the throttle body, with two tubes running into it.

Any suggestions for ingntion parts? I might as well upgtrade a bit if Im going to replace it all.

Are you having a missfire issue? If not why are you gonna replace your coil packs?
Air filter clean?

air filter is about 4 months old, and a new k&n, so i figured I would just clean the MAF to get the air filter oil off of it.

and the reason for changing the coil packs is because they are about 9 years old, and I figure it wouldn't hurt to change them.

I don't think the coils are gonna help but you never know. When did you notice your mileage change.
