03' Performance mods
I am looking for a way to get a few more horses under the hood while getting a few more miles to the gallon in my 03' F-150. I had looked at cold air intakes, fuel injectors and throttle spacers but I don't know what they will do for me mirage wise. Does anybody know of some parts or a way to get my engine more powerful?

So you want more power AND better mileage? You know those two are opposite ends of the spectrum, right?
This is a truck, and a thirsty one. It was designed when gas was still under $1 a gallon and nobody cared about mileage.
The only way to improve mileage is to drive with a lighter foot.
Sure you can get a tuner (having to run premium fuel), exhaust work, COA and such, but for the $1000+ you will spend on that you may see a 1 mpg (and that is a high estimate) improvement, so after 20 years, you may break even (not).
Do a tune up if one has not been done in a while, clean the MAF and throttle body. Don't bother with a throttle spacer, all it does is make noise. Fuel injectors will make no difference (unless you have one with a problem, but that is another issue).
If all you want is more power, long tube headers and high flow cats will get you some power. A blower is also an option, but not cheap (plenty of threads here on boosting these engines).

Dang blufur you beat me to the punch again! They must have raised your wage per thread answered.
What's up with people thinking CAI is the cure all? More horsies and mpg's.
Where is the struggle? The truck weighs 6k. 10+ years old, many miles. Why do you do that you need more horses? Is it lacking in some capacity? The truck is made to tow a certain weight and get certain fuel economy. If gaining either were easy and cheap, Ford would have done it.
Not enough horses and torques. I think they all need Super duties.

CAI are useless, the only reason I like mine is because it gave it a more throaty sound. TB spacers are nothing but a piece of metal, I put a new BBK TB on my truck and cant say I felt a difference. If I could go back I would simply get an SCT tuner and do exhaust, thats it.
If you really need more power look into a supercharger.
