Default 01 door power locks

The problem i am having is you push the lock/unlock button you can hear the power sound but the door locks do not move. Open to suggestions also how in the hell do you take the door panels off?

Literally just posted how to take the door panels off (how it is on my 97 anyhow) in a window motor thread. Here's the link to it: https://www.f150forum.com/f6/driver-...o-down-207577/
Oh and odds are the problem with your power lock actuator is the thermal resistor in the motor itself. It can be bypassed with no real consequence. It is meant to protect the motor from being burnt out by someone hitting the lock/unlock button nonstop. How it works is that as it heats up it begins to resist current. The problem is thanks to the awesome build quality of our thermal resistors is as the age they begin to work too well and resist all the time. If you're up to it i managed to take mine out and wrap it in aluminum foil. It works like the day it was made.

I replaced the whole actuator in my 01 crew cab just a month ago, so much better! There should be 2 screws on the bottom of the panel, and one behind the door handle piece. Take those out, and lift up on the panel.

How much do the actuators usually run?

When you hit the but lock unlock button you can see the locks move and hear something not sure that would still be the actuator

Yeah same problem I had. Get a new actuator and you'll be in good shape.
