Default 0 to 60 Time?

Now, don't laugh. I have a 2000 Lightning and got a speeding ticket, in the city, during the day. It was a 35mph zone and the cop said I was doing 72mph! I say impossible. It was between two closely spaced signals. Just wondering if anyone knows what 0 to 60 takes or 0 to 70? The signals were about one tenth of a mile apart. Thanks!

Don't laugh, I'm a girl! It was a local cop. I think my only hope is he doesn't show at court. But I found info that a stock Lightning takes 5.4 seconds to go 0 to 60, much more to go 0 to 72. No way it was that long between two signals, when I was stopped at a red light at the first one, and it was a rough street, in traffic!

Oh yeah, he was p o'd that I wouldn't pull over in traffic lanes with my nice truck. I insisted on going a few yards ahead and stopped at a gas station, which is my right.

I hate to sound sexist, but women cops tend to be unyeilding. Good luck in court.

I know in Florida the Radar gun has to be checked before each shift and after. It has to have been calibrated within the past year. The cop has to have been trained on that unit.

Well, I went to court today and lost cuz the da-- cop showed up. I had lots of evidence on my side, photos, stats on truck 0 to 60, etc. The cop LIED and said the 1st signal was green, he couldn't I.D. the cars around me and I could. But the stupid judge still believed him. So, all you truck owners be proud! The city of Torrance says your truck can do 72mph on a city street, between 2 red lights!
