Default Window Regulator Assembly

As anyone swapped out their window regulator for a new one? How hard was it? Any pointers? Mine has been "screaming" and dealer wanted almost 500 to replace, since assembly was $105 thought I'd do it myself.

make sure to have a 1/4 ratched as the foot that holds the glass towards the front is tought to get to. but its pretty straight forward.

here is the steps.

.) use screw driver to pop up the window switch, then disconnect it.
.) behind the door handle there is a little plate that pops off and 2 screw are behind it.
.) pop off the speaker guard
.) remove speaker bolts, and unplug speakers.
.) take pliers and remove bottom speaker bolt holders (there white plastic like tabs)
.) remove the 2 bolts behind the door handle.
.) where the window switch is towards the back of the switch hole, there is a bolt
.) on the bottom of the door there is 2 screw
.) door pannel should now pull up and off.
.) push the door handle tab and remove it from the door panel, and set panel aside.
.) prop glass about halfway up with some cardboard.
.) pull down plastic sheeting so it hangs on the bottom.
.) disconnect the window regulator motor
.) now there are 2 bolts that you need to loosen to get the glass off the old regulator. these are located on the track. you can use either a socket or a torx. they look like rubber clamps
.) when those are loosed slide glass all the way up and out of the way.
.) take the bolt out holding window regulator
.) there are 4 bolts( 2 each side that hold the regulator to the door) they site in a channel, where there is a big hole for the head of the bolt to come through and then they slide down. just take these bolts all the way out and the regulator should fall down.
.) now just slide out the right side out the hole followed by the left.
.) slide the new regulator in so that the bolts face towards you.
.) slide the bolts through the 4 holes and loosen them if you have to so slide all the way down.
.) tighten the bolts down
.) install bolt for window regulator
.) connector window regulator connector
.) connector all connectors to the window switch and turn the truck into acc.
.) make sure the regulator goes up and down.
.) put the window all the way up so that it makes contact with the glass
.) slowly slide the window down, make sure its in the rubber cleets
.) lower it half way and tighten the bolts to the rubber cleets.

now its just a rev install of everything you took apart.
