Default What is this switch for?

I just picked up a 2006 F-150 XLT. There is this switch on dash that is about where a pedal adjust should be. This switch does not adjust the pedal. I have tried it and when I flip it the green light comes on but I don’t see any affect. It only works when the ignition is on. Any ideas as to what it might be for? There is no mention in the manual or any other search I have tried.

That's an auxiliary switch the previous owner put in... You may have had extra lights added. Check around the vehicle for wires and or lights.

It's not a factory switch, so it was added by a previous owner. The only way to tell for sure what it does is to follow the wires.

There's a good chance it used to be hooked up to some aux lights and that the previous owner removed them before selling/trading.

it activates the flux capacitor be very careful. Id call the dude you got the truck from and ask about it. If you got it from a dealer, find who the dealer got it from
