Default What should i do

I am new to this forum and new to having an f150 my previous truck was a 2001 f250 but had to get rid of it because me and my fiancé had a baby do I needed a back seat. I now have a 2006 f150 with the 5.4 and I was wondering what mods I could do to give me the best increase in power and mpg but also stay as low of a cost as possible thank you for your inputs

1. K&N cold air intake about 200 bucks I think and helps with both.
2. Programmer- about 400 and helps with both but more so than the intake
3. Econoaid throttle body booster - 30 and slightly helps with both I noticed when I put mine in. Also gave me about .7 higher mpg and I'm on 37's hah. Also has cool whistle. it also has a money back warranty
4. Exhaust - this price depends on what you do to it. I could e anywhere from 60-700 bucks haha but it will help with power more than mpg. Also sounding good doesnt hurt.
5. Seafoam- 9 bucks, this is a additive that you mix with your gas and add in your oil and can put it all kinda of places. Cleans your engine from carbon deposits and makes your engine more like new. Good increase in both power and mpg but do abit of reading first.
Good luck and feel free to ask anything

Here's a link to a thread you might also like for other mods on a budget besides mpg.

Coolest things you've done to your truck for under $100 bucks

Everything Forrest150 said will work. With programmers its hard to choose the one that works the best. I have had The Edge Evolution, and now I'm runny the Bully Dog programmer. Truthfully they are both the same in my mind. I changed just to see if one is better than the other and I have really havent noticed the difference.

Word of advice if you do both intake and programmer be carful, I have heard a few guys say they were running too lean with both......I myself have never had the issue just because of my throttle body space....but I could be wrong!!!!! Just a hear say!!!!!

I would also suggest using the search. This site has a huge database of information. It's been around for several years, and chances are your questions have been asked before. Simply enter a topic such as "tuners", or "exhaust", or "better fuel mileage", and then read away. Be prepared; there will be pages and pages of good information to read through! Have a beverage (or two) on hand! Lots of available information.

And welcome aboard!

^ agreed. Also everything I have listed I happen to be running haha it works great together. I am all about mpg vs power and finding the median. Like a expedition vehicle lol but I am a 5.4 triton 6 inch lift on 37/13.5/20 and about to go 8 inch lift getting about 12 mpg on 3.73 gears and next will be re gear

You rub much with the six inch lift and 37s? I upgraded my gears to 4.56 already and now looking into a lift and 37s. Would like to stick to six inch and 37s if possible. Don't off road much at all.
