Default What is this part called?

I I have a questionfor this part on the interior.
The gray area covered in red dots what is that called? And where can I buy some that are meant to not go with the floor shifter?

As well as what is this called (circled in red) and how can I get it to change to what gear you're in?

The reason I ask all this is because I'm going to do a column shift swap and I only need to know what these two items are called so I can order it and do the swap but I can't seem to find the specifics.

Unfortunately, I don't think that is a separate component of the dash panel. I think it's part of the dash panel itself. You can see what I mean by looking on fordparts.com

If I'm right, it would be very expensive.

At the website, after you enter your truck info, those parts are located in the "body" category> "instrument panel" sub category.

You will be looking for parts that say "less, flow through console" if you are taking your console out.

Once you get the correct part names and trim color and part numbers, you can search for better prices online. That's my usual routine.

Okay cool thanks for the help. Yeah I figured once I got the part numbers I should find some cheaper prices elsewhere

No prob. Your local Ford parts counter should be able to help you also. At least with the part numbers. Good luck.

why would anyone want to swap OUT a console shifter? I thought everyone was trying to swap IN console shifters?

Your choice, just always curious why people do things.

I know I'm the rebel of the bunch. I guess I just miss that extra seat and foot space since my first truck was a column shift and my second one is a floor shift. I like it, but after looking at the price for some of the random crap I don't think I'll swap. It's amazing how much they'll make you pay for plastic. I can understand the instrument cluster and all but yeah.
