Default What is this

In the picture there is a vacuum line that is capped. I am wondering what it is for. It is the small line in the center of the picture just above the PCV valve and below the yellow ty-rap. My Truck is a 06 STX 4.6 Auto. Thanks!

That vacuum line in question looks like it's for the IWE (locking hubs). Where does it start from, back of the intake?

I can't tell it goes into the wrapped bundle that is just behind the hose over it.

Is everything working as it should? CEL on? I wouldn't be concerned unless your having drivability issues.

This question comes up about once a month or so, it is a vacuum line for the 4wd system that your truck does not have. The factory will most of the time install the lines just in case it turns out to be a 4wd truck. Don't worry about it since you say you have a 2wd.
