I know i have sonething similar to that in mine and i have Navigation so if you have a touchscreen cd player that is most likely associated with the navigation.

I didn't have premium sound, just am/fm cd. I upgraded the head unit to a Pioneer touch screen and couldn't figure what that module was for.

That I believe is the sat radio box I have just the mp3 am/fm cd and aux radio and mine has sat radio. If u pop the old one in and push the aux button if it has an aux button sat 1,2 and 3 should come up. Otherwise idk what it does.

My factory radio did in fact have satellite radio.

The main reason why I'm trying to figure out what this module is for is that ever since I installed my Pioneer head unit I've had an annoying white noise/static sound from all speakers.
I've eliminated all other possible causes so far and it's narrowed down to either a bad head unit or this module may be tied into the factory wiring harness somehow and it's the culprit.

No factory sub.

I installed a
Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD
head unit in my F150 last year with a brake bypass. I also upgraded the front door speakers at the time. I had an annoying hiss/static noise in all speakers that would get louder as the volume was increased.

Fast forward to this weekend. I installed a Kenwood KAC-7005PS five channel amp, MB Quart 12" sub, and new rear door speakers.

The annoying hiss/static is still there. I've tried grounding the head unit in other locations and removed the brake bypass thinking that might be the culprit but still no luck, the noise is still there.
