Default Various Items

yesterday I spent a good 5 hours detailing my truck and used the turtle wax ICE. I really like it and it makes the truck look good. And now it is raining .

1. What do yall use to clean chrome rims with? I have some stuff but it doesnt work to well.

2. Do they make aftermarket gear shifters. I have the one in the center console. The top of mine popped off

3. Are there any cheap free unknown mods that change the truck a bit. Stuff like the fogs on with highs mod.

4. I am going to get an alarm, probably viper. Any recommendations? My truck has been egged, had about 3 cups of sugar thrown on it, and last night (right after washing it) when leaving a friends house I caught some idiots tagging my truck. Lets just say it wasnt a pretty and the cops were eventually called.

I will probably add to this post with more questions.

For the wheels I use simple green diluted 1:1 and a nice bristled brush, it does a great job.

For the alarm, a friend of mine has a Viper 791 and it seems to be great and the range is VERY good.

I agree. Simple green is worth it's weight in gold. Vipers are also an excellent choice for an alarm system. For the record, messing with a man's truck is like messing with his woman. I would castrate someone for that s***!

1. I use mothers chrome polish

2. I haven't seen any, why not just glue it back on with something like JB weld

3. YES gotta be careful when adding cheap mods...most of them look cheap. Don't wanna look like jcwhitney riding down the road.

4. All I've ever owned is Viper. I had a 550es/with remote start for 4 years in my 95 4runner, I also had the same unit in my 93 GEO metro but it didn't have the remote starter option. Currently I have a 130xv remote start in my 95 Bonneville, the 160xv remote start in my 02 Bonneville and a 791xv with all the bell and whistles in my 05 F150. I have not had any problems with any other than having to have an adjustment at the initial install for the setting the installer had things set to.

Well they jumped in the bed of my truck, and I am sure that would have set off the alarm. And when the eggs hit the truck the alarm should go off as well. The egg caused 450 in damages

When I said cheap/free mods. I ment like little things that you can do yourself. For instance my dad has a dodge cummins and there is a couple of freatures that the dealer can activate through the the dealer scanner tool. Like high idle and stuff for the diesel. I dont want cheap accesories, I mean things about the f150s that most people dont know about.
