Default unknown wire

I am doing a rebuild on a 2006 5.4, and when I was disassembling there were two wires one on each side, they are short with grey clip on one end and a black clip on the other end, unfortunately these were broken on disassembly. I am having a hard time find out what these are and were I can get a replacements. I assume they are grounds of some kind based on where they were and how short they were. Unfortunately, I did not think ahead and get a picture. Any help would be great...

Thanks

on the rear of each head? sounds like the resistors or whatever you call them to help from having electrical noise interference.

They are actually found on the front of the engine, kind of near where the solenoids are located
