Just read my door sticker and my truck has 3:31 rear end. It's only available in v6 manual models. How bad are my 35s and level????

Does your truck even hit 65?! it must do 0-60 in ten minutes. haha. Im just messing with you. Well you've had that setup for what almost a month from what i remember? It cant be horrendous... i cant say that its the best thing for your truck either. I havent heard anyone else running that setup before. Hope someone responds with some helpful info. Manual must be fun though!!

Been running this for two years! 5th gear is useless over 60mph just use it for cruising speeds

So when I put my New gears in ill get better gas mileage right? Seems like being under geared is bad for gas mileage too. And yes me and Amick are the two with manual v6 xl's with levels and 35s

I have 4.10 gear ratio and I'm running 33's. I really notice an improvement in gas mileage on my truck, especially in stop and go traffic.

Probably the reason I have to shift at 3k rpm to avoid the studder, jerky feeling since leaving stock tires. When I bought the truck I always skipped 4th and went right into fifth but those days are long gone, and yes 5th gear does do anything can barely use it on freeway bc it just doesn't push. lol hope my truck isn't affected other than crappy-er performance. Just went and checked, code 27...3.31 doh!!!!!!

Yeah 2wd gears would most likely be just south of a grand to get. Yea if you have 35's, a 4.56 would be an ideal perfect situation. I have 35's on a level and have 3.73 gears and have zero problems (knock on wood). I drive most highway so having the 3.73 helps me more than the 4.56's would for gas mileage. Like i said, hey, if you have been 2 yrs already i guess its okay as long as you dont beat on it but the higher gear ratios would re-coup some of your power loss and mpg.

well I usually drive slow like grandma anyway, and keep it at or under 2k after shifting up. I technically have 33.8" tires 305/70/17 so hoping I can wait a while on gears if at all. Gf wants to be a fiance badly and I also need down money for my first casa..
