Default Transmission temp and engine fan

How hot does your transmission have to get before the ECM turns on the engine fan?

... 'Cuz I got there, engine temps were below 210 @ 60mph

I think...230+ or something is the potential damage point.

Hmmmm...
I thought the '04 - '08 models just had an old style clutch fan.
My 4.6L engine temp holds between 195 and 205.
Trans temp 147 to 155.
Both are read from Edge Evo.
Never seen them any hotter even when towing the boat.

Default Trans temp anything over 200 bad

If you are towing add a plate type trans cooler . Trans it self gets damage at 225 I'm told . Mine runs 160 on gauge tied to cooler in summer heat . .

04-08 has an engine driven, pcm controlled fan.

I have the towing package with the large oil/air radiator and the thermostat.

I think the thermostat is sticking; why else would something that's not engine coolant temperature (which I was watching on my phone/Bluetooth/OBD scanner and never got over 205°F) trigger the PCM to turn on the fan at higher speed/rpm than usual?

Do, does anybody know what that teams temp is to trigger the fan at highway speed? I'm sure it's hot, bit how hot?

And why does every question on this forum have to be written by a lawyer to get a focused answer? You goons are all over the place! Can we get an Adderall sponsorship or something?

Sheesh...

LOL!!!! I love it.

AS I SAID before......I think some folks just troll threads looking for something to correct.

My wife has a doctorate in education and administration.............maybe I could get her to start proof reading my posts before submitting.......and then cite my references at the bottom of the thread!!!!

I do feel your pain tho.......I've learned to just try and ignore it......as much as possible. Some folks love to debate(/argue).

That, or people attempt to help in a way that they understood the original question proposed. Maybe by throwing up their read temps to give you a guideline. Not everyone may understand the question exactly as you asked it, as people read/perceive things differently. Oh, and brainstorming.
P.S. No disrespect intended, as the internet is a difficult place discern the tone of what someone says..

Have tow package and plate factory cooler. Bi metal clutch temperature starts engaging at 150 air from radiator to full on at 190 degrees or so they say .Technical goons out! My lawyer was busy . But we can still have fun --no offense meant . If you can't have fun why bother.
