Well, you're bound to have a lot of different recommendations , but here is mine. I have the Kenwood DDX-419 DVD/CD/Bluetooth/USB/Aux. I love it. You get the great quality of Kenwood, along with the convenience of Bluetooth (I use it everyday-makes driving so much more fun). I also put a reverse cam in, the one that is molded into the tailgate handle, and this HU accepts it. Anyway, these have been updated to the DDX-470 now, but you can still find them on eBay for about $250. Great for the money!

I have the JVC KWA61BT. Nothing overly fancy but it serves its purpose well. Bluetooth music and phone calls, DVD, apps, Pandora, detachable face, etc.

This is one of those thing that are really based on your taste and wallet. Every one that had one will like the one they have. Also will anyone rarely have tried several models over the course of a few months to get a feel for each one. Not a cheap thing to do unless there is a dealer hiding around here.

My personal preference is Pioneer. Loved several models and tax season I'll buy my first double din touch screen. I also always make sure sure it have so 3 sets of preamp outputs so I can add amps easily. The higher the volts the cleaner it is (I try to stay at 4 volts. 2.5v is lowest iirc). Also will make sure it can accept accept a back up camera. After that it's really what I want it to look like and feel. The one I want is $499

So best thing to do is pick pick a price range. Then search crutch field for models in that range. Start narrowing it down to as many features as you can get. Then look at what you tube videos with what's left and see how the operate and what's you like and dislike.

Don't be overwhelmed. Just learn what's what and how it will benefit your taste!

X8500BHS is what I was looking at. Same exact thing as above except has SiriusXM and HD Radio built in. Sat radio matters to me because I can transfer my account from my factory radio.

Also ive heard the 2012 models of these (4400 and 8400), the 8400 index's USB files to read them much faster and should be carried over to the 4500 and 8500. Another thing that matters to me as I do keep a USB stick plugged in. Can get the same music stored on phone and bluetooth streaming though.

My in-law's live just over 8 hours away and we go see them every few months, I suspect more so when our son arrives next year. So a large variety of music entertainment needs to be on hand. Especially as he gets older. I may even do the movie playing while in drive hack so can can watch later on.

Like I mentioned. Do the research and learn what suites you, then find the double din that fits. Stay away from ebay or knock off brands like Pyle or Soundstream or whatever they are. I like researching on Crutchfield because they have easy to read stats and looooot of people by from there so theres plenty of reviews on almost everything. Plus the free install equipment is nice.

Your better off to read reviews off crutchfield or something similar. Everyone has only had a handful of decks in their life. And if you've had one for more than 8 years, it probably isn't even relevant anymore. So read the reviews on crutchfield for newer decks and looks for installers rather than consumers as they know what keeps coming back for warranty work and what doesn't.

I went with this pioneer avh-x2500bt and i love it . The new Model is listed below..cant beat the price for $260.00 , its bluetooth , touch screen , has pandora, backup camera ( if you want to add it ) and you can add on navigation down the road.. My cell phone navigation voice plays through the head unit as you drive.

Def look at the reviews and find one suited to your needs , these were what i was looking for :
