Default Torque Pro Help

I've searched but can't find the thread about programming in the Torque Pro app. My previous phone died and I had to get a new one and reinstall the Torque Pro app. I used to have the transmission fluid temp gauge in my app but on my new phone the transmission fluid temp gauge gives me no reading. I've tried every one listed in the app and none of them work. They all just show a dash like they aren't connecting. Other gauges seem to work fine. My new phone is a Samsung Galaxy S8+ running on Android Nougat. Any ideas?

Default Torque Pro dashboard - Everything temperature.

I've worked out a bunch of Torque Pro temperature gauges for my '04 5.4L Lariat like this. The PIDs & formulas (and a CSV file of the extended PIDs that you can download directly into your Android device are posted here:

Maybe this will help.

Thank you. I'll try that and see if it works. The transmission fluid temp used to work fine on my last phone but doesn't seem to work on my new one.

Has to have something to do with the Ford Extended PIDs (I assume you have added them) after installing Torque Pro on your new phone.

Nothing different coming from the PCM via your Bluetooth dongle.

Yeah, I did load the Ford pids but those haven't helped. I'm not sure... Maybe I should uninstall the app and start over.

Are you looking at the trans temp in the top 1/3 of the list? There are 3 or 4 different tans temps in the list of PIDs. The FORD extended PIDs are at the top 1/3 of the list and say [FORD] before the PID. As Torqued mentioned the trans temp needs to be one of the Ford extened PIDs. Make sure you are not over looking this. I did.

Yep, I've got one whole screen that's got every trans fluid temp I could find in the list including all of the Ford ones and they all just show a dash with no info. Other gauges like rpm and coolant temp show info like normal so I know the app is connecting and talking to my truck. I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything but haven't had a chance to try it again. I'll do it in a bit and report back. Again, the only thing that has changed is having a new phone with a newer version of Android... same truck and same code reader adapter thing, whatever you call it.

I have a Google Pixel running Android 7.1.2 (the absolute newest OTA) and all my gauges work as they always did, I dont think its the Android but maybe something with the Samsung OS?

Ok, I tried it and trans fluid temp method 1 under the Ford pids works now. I guess the uninstall and reinstall fixed things. Thanks so much for the help guys. I really appreciate it.
