Hmm maybe try uninstalling it and reinstall it. I know some pids are not for all vehicles. There is also a setting to turn on fast read that affects some pids, you could try toggling that off/on, other than that I got nothing.

could anyone run me thru some of the stuff on the cd you get with the adapter and the app itself?

I don't use the pc software that is on the cd but I think it's so you can use a laptop to access the program like the phone does, your laptop will have to have Bluetooth to connect.

I added the Ford pids today, thanks! I didn't know that.

The ford pids do duplicate some of the general tests, but they do some different stuff too, all is working for me. Just today, used the Bluetooth Dongle and Torque Pro to diagnose a hesitation at higher revs, no engine light came up...the thing found a misfire on 6 almost immediately...changed the cop with an old one, misfires go away, all is good.

For less than 30 bucks for dongle and program, it is a killer deal...

Dongle meaning adapter? And really how did ylu check for that? Ive been screwing with mine all day and cant figure out crap

Well, first, the dongle (adapter) must be in the OBD port, the app on your android started, and the engine running. When the adapter connects to your phone (you have to have the Bluetooth enabled and paired to the adapter), open the program.

One of the icons says "test results". Open that up, the tests will begin when you hit the start button, then they will cycle (by percentage completion) every minute or so...look carefully at them. Some will say you passed BUT may still indicate a problem. Yesterday, I passed the misfire tests, but while I had 0% misfires on all of the cylinders, 6 was showing up with 35, then 44, etc. No engine light at this point, but the car was shuddering at 50mph, so I figured that 6 was the problem...only thing it could be. Sure enough, eventually I pushed it a little hard and the engine light came on, and the program gave me a verbal warning, "misfire detected on cylinder 6". Nursed it home, changed the 6 cop with an old but working one, tested again, 0% misfire. Cleared the engine light and will wait to next time. Easy peasy, saved me bundle.
