Default Tire sizing help

Okay so time has come I have worn down my current tires.. and I don't have cash for brand new ones so i'm going to be buying a used set.. heres my problem..

I currently have 305/55/20's grapplers 10 ply theses things are massive and are SUPER HEAVY.

I do what something as aggressive and meaty though

Now whats the difference between that and say a 33/12.50/20

A 305/55/20 is a 33/12/20 so a 33/12.50/20 is 1/2 inch wider then the 305/55 20 thats pretty much it

ohh... I can't go any wider :/ 305/55/20 is HUGE already and i rub at full lock so a 1/2 inch wider will kill me.

305/50/20 should be better. I've put those on 20x10 wheels on a leveled truck and they worked fine

I had 305/50/20 on my 3/5 lowered Superduty and barely rubbed, only at full lock on the swaybar. As long as your wheel offset is normal you should be fine.
