Question throttle response???

I have a 2004 f150 4x4 5.4L lariat

i drove an 2005 f150 5.4L xlt, it wasnt 4x4,

the throttle on the '05 was much more reponsive/quick when i stepped on the gas, but on my '04 i would do the same but it was a slower clamer response, then i drove an 2007 f150 lariat 4x4 5.4L it also had a slow response like my 2004.

why would the '05 have a quicker response?? , i want mine to be like that. does anyone have ideas?

***all the trucks are stock there is nothing done to them***

It's throttle by wire(a built-in throttle delay). Get a Edge Evo or other tuner to resolve the issue.

my 2wd is like that. Every time I shift out of "P" it jumps. I asked the dealer about it and he said that there's nothing wrong and that all 5.4liter 2wd's do it.

Go drive a 07 or even an 08 when they're released. I'm sure they will have even better throttle response. Ford has had a few updates the programming on these trucks. There's even a TSB to reflash do to complaints like yours. The few that have had it done has said it drove a lot better afterwords. As said above Gearing could also have been different. Also as said above get a programmer and you'll be very happy you did

I hate driving my truck on stock tunes.

OK, I have an Edge Evo and still have the lag time on the throttle. Is there a custom setting I don't know about?
I really got no love for the throttle by wire at this point in time.
