Default Throttle Body Replacement

Whose done one on their truck?
From what I've been reading and experiencing with my truck I'm thinking it's about time to replace mine. So here's what I would like to know, who has done it themselves? who has had it done at a shop? how easy was it? how long did it take? what kind of skill level do you need to do it? and most importantly how much did it cost?
mine is the 04 and 05 throttle body so when the IAC or TBPS goes out I have to replace the whole thing. Any thoughts?

its super easy to pull. i took mine off to clean it a couple days ago.
just remove the breather tube assembly then pull off the filter assembly (4 10 ml bolts)
then pull the throttle body. the wire connectors are kinda tricky, pull the lock thing up then squeeze and pull. be careful not to over torque the 4 bolts holding it on the intake manifold(they are in plastic)

Its easy. You unhook the MAF and remove the intake and air box and then take the 4 tb bolts out and unhook the wires going 2 the TPS and acuator and it comes off. It will probably take 15 minutes. You will have the most trouble getting the electrical connectors unhooked. Are you having trouble out of the one you have?

wait...so you havent pulled it, but you have cleaned it? Doesn't sound like you did a very good job cleaning it the first time then. You may be throwing away money if you don't pull it and thoroughly clean it then try it out first.

I just too mine off to clean and when I first looked at it, the outside was clean. As soon as it was off the truck it was another story. I was getting the trouble code for low rpms, so I desided to clean it. WOW was that thing nasty. If you are running an CAI with an KandN then I would clean the MAF and that. The oil from the KandN will gunk up your TB... just my two cents.

MAF and TB cleaner was under 15 bucks... not sure on what a new TB cost, but its got to be cheaper.
