Default Thinking of Selling

Thinking of Selling my 07' SCab, With the plow industry in lowball land and rising fuel Costs, running 64 miles round trip for my full time job.

Thinking about getting a SUV or something with better MPG, I still need AWD due to all the back roads. Would love to stick with a truck but nothing gets mid 20's w/4wd.

Worst part is i just bought this 07' last summer, O the joy's of not being able to see in the Future. What's everyone's thoughts and Opinions?

If you really dont need the truck I would get rid of it and get something more economical. When things improve for you you can always get another truck.
It sucks that you only bought it last year but if you can get into a vehicle for a lower payment (if your financing), lower insurance and lower fuel cost then thats the way to go.

I'm a contractor and use my truck for work/daily driver so I definitely understand about the gas situation. Mine gets about 10-12 mpg on my daily commute (lots of stop and go). On the highway I'm happy to see 14-16 mpg but thats about it.

I already know I'm upside down on this truck loan, so that also plays into it as well. I'll have to budget and see if there would be any savings to be had.I'm going to be holding out as long as possible which should help a little..

Wife needs a new/newer car as well soon... Ooo the joys!!

Maybe I'll get a nice dealer and get a sweet deal on two of the same make vehicles...

Gas is supposed to be going up another $1.50. Get rid of your truck now while you can.

I understand. I've parked the truck except for the weekend work it does, and am driving my newly aquired 2011 Mustang V6. At 26 honest MPG, it is more economical to do the daily driving with.

I thought about buying an escape for my wife too. But then we went for a drive in a ford edge. Just do yourself a favor and try one out way better quality in all aspects then the escape IMO. Just my .02

Thanks for the advice! That's funny last night we were talking about looking at the edge instead. Did you end up getting a edge? What year and motor? Anything to look out for? Thanks chris
