Default taillight removal

i bought these super hyper white backup lights at pepboys and i come home and i cant remove the taillights. i removed the two bolts when you open the tailgate and they wouldnt budge at all. so i got a screw driver bc i noticed a small pin on the bottom and top so i tried to pop it and i think the top one snapped.. how do u remove the light withought damaging it, i just want brighter backup bulbs. i thought it would have been a plug and play and put the taillight back

mine was a little stubborn too. i just kept working at it. i replaced my lenses, so i wasn't too concerned with damaging the stock ones, but i managed not to break them.

Get a flathead screw driver and pry around the edges in various places.

I had a bulb go out a few weeks ago and had to remove the driverside tail light. I used a small prybar that still had the rubber tip on it from when I bought it. The tail lights come straight back when you try to remove them.
