Default Tailgate Issues

So I had my tailgate stolen off of my truck in my driveway about a year and a half ago. Since then I have not had a tailgate and just use an RBP tailgate net to make things look a little more enclosed. I've shopped around for a new tailgate and just can't justify buying a new or used one for the time being. I've looked at tire gates and they're about the same price if not more. I'm getting use to the style of the truck without the tailgate because the black net ties in a lot on my truck. What I'm wondering is if anyone is running or has any ideas for a tailgate alternative and about how much it would cost. Thanks in advance.

The only other option I can think of is to find on at a junk yard. Our local U-Pull sells tailgates for $52.

How about a louvered gate? They look pretty cool, and are functional as well.

FYI. If you do go with anther tailgate, I bought a pop-n-lock off of eBay that locks and unlocks my tailgate with my key fab like its a passenger door. I got it new for around $15 and it was very easy to install

Thanks guys. I'll have to start checking junk yards as I just checked Craigslist and everything was around 500. And definitely getting the pop and lock. Thanks again!

That does look pretty awful on a newer truck.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but try this website. When I get some money saved I plan on buying one of these so i can carry a full size 35in spare tire for my truck.

I have looked at those and would love to have one but the price is a little too high. Especially since I would want buy a matching tire and wheel which would substantially raise the price. Also i like the style where the spare is in the bed almost layed down. That would cut down on bed space that I use almost every day. I would love one but would only buy a tiregate if I could get it for a steal.
