Default system questions

Hey everyone,

I am for sure about to get a slamming bass system in my 04 FX4. I have a friend that has a Memphis Mojo 12 inch sub with a 1100 watt Memphis amp and a poineer premier head unit, and it slams really hard, its hard to breath when you crank it all up and it hits. But his is in a ford escape, and the sub is in a box that takes up the entire back storage area, and I have heard the smaller the box the less sound, which there is no room for that kind of box under the back seats of my truck. I was thinking maby doing the same thing in a smaller box under the middle back seat? Or maby do 2 10's or 12's in a box that takes up the entire area under the back seats, with a sub under each of the window seats in the box, and a 750 watt amp each for 10's or maby 1000 each if it is 12's. And thinking about a kenwood touchscreen head unit. What do yall think?

well....supercrew sounds makes a dual 10 or 12 box that will fit under the rear seat. I, for one am a memphis audio fan, I have an MClass and a pair of 6.5 coaxials in my car. Memphis now has a line of slim mount subs to work in tight spaces, you might want to take a look at them. As for a headunit, I just picked up a Pioneer P3100DVD for my truck that will go with the rockford/saleen sub system. For the money, the pioneer '3100 is a good deal, i got mine on amazon for $299.

I have two 10" DC Audios under my back seats (xtended cab), and they sound loud and clean =)
The box has a mounting depth of 6", so you can imagine how thin it is. The sound is enough to rattle cars next to me. I'm running a 1000W Crunch amp with those. Talk to Loganberry on here... he's the audio expert in these parts

no that wasn't aimed at you. i meant it to the OP. to tell how much it's lifted just look at the bottom of the peice of metal on the side of the seat and see if there is some sort of block.

I want something that slams, I mean bassin for rap music and stuff. I want to turn it on and to rattle my truck and make it hard to breathe when it hits like my friends memphis set up.
