My truck ran very similar to the GM TM before I tuned it, with nasty delayed shifts. Tuner make a huge difference. No need to send the PCM in to get burned, you can do a full reprogram with a hand held on the Fords.

My last truck was an 03 Silverado, my F150 may not be as quick, but fit, finish, and aesthetics are so much better, I won't go back to a GM fullsize anytime soon.

I got my SCT SF3 from a local dealer off of craigslist. 315. As far as gains, I cant be definitive. I don't dyno-tune, expensive, and I don't have the time. I normally seat-tune (set a tune, drive on it for a bit, make some tweaks). I will say that the 93 is stupid powerful. I have 3.55 gears, Auburn Locker, Mickey Thompson ATZ 35x12.5 R20. The truck is sluggo, rolls into speed, never jumps. Until I put the 93 tune on for the first time. Now the truck tries to break lose and bark the tires, the shifting is incredible (i'm running +7mph, +15% and it literally throws you back into the seat). I'm currently on the 91 tune running 89oct through it. Great economy. I am getting 350miles to the tank (27 gal). Not too damn bad when you think about my set-up (i know, i should regear). I was torn between the Diablo and the SCT, and am SOOOOoooo glad I went this way (no knock to Diablo, just sayin).

You can get the Mileage XS tune on the Flashpaq, but I wouldn't even bother. Compared to my Flashpaq 87 tune, the Mileage XS tune's driveability sucks (super early shifts) and only gains 0.1-0.2 MPGs over the 87 perf.

Either your truck isn't very stock or the tune wakes them up. All our salesmen drive F-150s so I have driven plenty and they are ALL slow as hell.

Turns out the company isn't selling this truck anymore so it might not be an issue I have to worry about right now.
