Default On the subject of plugs

Afellow that works for me just had his Excursion V10 blow 2 plugs out of the heads.
Any body heard if the 5.4 would have the same problem?

man that is messed up.... the 5.4 owners cant get their plugs out and the v10 owners just blow em out.... I had heard some of the early tritons were bad about blowing plugs out... I just heard and never seen so i dont know for a fact... i have never heard of it on this forum soooo dont know.

the older 5.4L have been known to shoot plugs out! My GF father has a V10, the plugs have shot out on that thing too.

Yes, all of the 2 valve triton motors had problems with spitting plugs, and then ford decided to overbuild the 3 valve tritons and opened up a whole new can of worms when they did so.

The new 3 valve plugs don't want to come out of the block and sometimes break off in the head.
